A couple of short clips for Cornwall Community News from the Cornish Mines Engines Project in Camborne for National Trust. The video also touches on the contribution made by Richard Trevithick and his invention of the Cornwall boiler that was much more efficient than previous boilers use to fire the great steam engines that were required for the mines.
For more information on Cornwall’s mining and industrial heritage please see our listing of Trevithick Day Videos as well our listing of Industrial heritage videos.
We have an image gallery of the Great Flat Lode cycle trail which takes you along old mineral tramways and past some of Europe’s best-preserved engine and mine working sites.
