Praa Sands Beach
Southwest beach facing a long stretch of golden sand with good bathing. Access – Easy access from the parking area. Seasonal Dog Ban. Seaside Award. Regarding disabled access, we advise that you contact the local Tourist Information Centre who will be able to give more information – Penzance 01736 362207.
On the green behind the beach, you will find a memorial to the crew of a British seaplane that crash-landed here during the war. The plane was attacked by enemy aircraft over the Bay of Biscay 800 miles away. The pilot managed to bring the plane home and without crew perishing.
