Porthchapel Beach – a Local favourite for the able bodied
Porthchapel Beach
South facing sheltered cove, surrounded by cliffs. Access to Porthchapel beach is along a narrow cliff path with a rock climb down to the beach. Only suitable for the agile and able-bodied the beach is generally a quiet place favoured by locals who access it via a narrow cliff path.
The beach lies between Porthcurno and Porthgwarra It is a sheltered cove that is surrounded by cliffs.
A dog ban operates from Easter to October.
You can surf this beach. Surf rescue equipment is present. Seals are often seen.
Parking is available in a small field car park next to the church. About a 5-10 minutes walk from the beach.
