A video from The National Trust on the South West Coast Path.
The National Trust and the Coast Path
Maintaining the coastal path is a major and continuing undertaking for the National Trust in Cornwall. The video features among others, Kynance Cove and Lantic Bay in Cornwall and many of the stunning locations on the 300 miles of the south-west coast path.
The film was specially commissioned by the National Trust to coincide with the 50th anniversary of its Neptune coastline campaign which was launched to purchase and maintain Britain’s coastal path network. Over 700 miles of coastline has now been purchased by the National Trust.
The video covers some of the work undertaken from clearing drains to the conservation grazing undertaken by the trust’s herd of Dartmoor ponies.
The team who look after the path have produced a video on the history and heritage of the path see below.
