Falmouth Harbour Fishing Boat Parade – A great spectacle and lots of fun
Falmouth Harbour Fishing boat parade
Fishing Boat Parade Falmouth: During Flushing Regatta week. The boats parade around Falmouth Harbour to St Mawes. Circling around Black Rock at the entrance Falmouth Harbour entrance then back to the Quay at Flushing.
The Falmouth Harbour Fishing Boat Parade is taken very seriously by the participants. Rivalry among the participating captains has been known on occasions to lead to water hoses being fired on other vessels. This leading to retaliation with much unofficial radio chatter and robust comment between vessels discussing the merits and appearance of rival boats.
All great fun with the boats decorated with flags and bunting, Pirate flags, Canadian maple leaf flags and Flags of Cornwall in black and gold.
