St Ives in Bloom

This video was filmed in St Ives during the summer months when the flowers in full bloom.

A regular winner of 'Britain in Bloom' competition with property decked out with baskets of flowers and public spaces a colourful display of blooms. St Ives in Bloom is a visual delight.

The mild climate and almost frost-free winters enjoyed by St Ives encourages and makes possible the cultivation of plants and shrubs normally found in semi-tropical regions hundreds of miles further south.

The town is centered around the harbour where fishing boats still land their catch. From the harbour wander around the maze of cobbled streets lined by fisherman's cottages,

Walk along the coastal footpath from St Ives, go south to Lelant or west towards Zennor and Gurnards Head.
