The King Harry Ferry Bridge is chain vehicle ferry crossing the River Fal the alternative is a 26 mile detour by road. The current ferry boat was built in 2006 and can carry up to 34 cars.

The ships that are laid up in the Fal in Cornwall, the number and size are a good measure of the world economic health. At the moment (April 2009) it is not good and the attractions to a ship owner of finding a good safe berth with a skeleton crew on care an maintenance basis is obvious.
