Helford River Area
Video from the tourist board that covers the Helford river area and beyond. The Helford is a very popular destination for visitors, the famed Ferry Boat Inn, the ferry and the beach in front of the inn is great for young families.
These gardens are full of sub-tropical plants, tree ferns originally from New Zealand, rhododendrons and azaleas. Beautiful villages like Durgan, largely owned and preserved for the nation by the National Trust. Helford Passage, with the Ferryboat Inn.
There is a guide to the Helford from the National Trust. The garden from Glendurgan a National Trust property run down to the river to the village of Durgan. Nearby are Trebah Gardens (not NT) which also features a valley that runs down to the banks and shoreline of the river.
