BLUE FLAG AND SEASIDE AWARDS 2006
A large Northwest facing sandy beach. This beach is very popular with surfers, and good family beach, children’s park beside the top end of the beach.
At low tide, it is possible to walk along the sans to Chapel Porth Beach. However, you must check the tide times carefully as the tide comes in very quickly do not attempt the walk without knowing the set of the tide.
- Level access from the car park.
- Disabled access.
- Refreshments, beach shop, surf shop, restaurant.

Porthtowan Beach is a Blue Flag beach
Blue Flag organisation works towards sustainable development at beaches/marinas through strict criteria dealing with water quality, environmental education and information, environmental management, and safety and other services.
