Porthoustock Beach – A divers Beach and easy launch to explore the Shipwrecks
Porthoustock Beach
An east-facing beach of stone and shingle popular with divers as there are lots of shipwrecks in the area around The Manacles. Swimming with care. Dogs are allowed on the beach. Perhaps the most distinctive feature of Porthoustock is a very large concrete building on the beach where aggregate from the nearby quarry was once stored. At the other end of the beach, there is a quay that is still used by the Quarry to load up ships with aggregate.
