Tehidy Woods Cycling – Cycle Routes
Tehidy Country Park offers 250 acres of peaceful woods and lakes to explore and enjoy. The Tehidy was once the home of the Basset family. A family whose wealth was founded in the mining boom. There is a memorial to the family is situated at Care Brea. Now it is under the remit of Cornwall Council.
It is perfect in spring at bluebell and daffodil time, or kick up those russet leaves in autumn, an especially beautiful time of year.
At this outstanding country park, which has over 9 miles
There are both walking and cycling paths through the estate park. The estate and park is home to swans, geese, rooks, jackdaws, coots, moorhens, grey squirrels, otters, and badgers making wildlife spotting an enjoyable part of this cycle route.
The circular route begins in the parking area and is the most popular option for cyclists. It is very easy to extend the cycle ride to visit the popular coastal village of Portreath.
