Mullion Cove Spring storm

This video (Mullion Cove – Spring Storm) was taken of a bright sunny day showing the remaining effects of a bad storm that had passed by.. Mullion Cove harbour is protected from by sea walls. Mullion is the largest village on the Lizard peninsula.

On days like this walking on top of the harbour wall is dangerous and to be avoided. Erosion and storm damage is now causing some concern over the long term future of the harbour.

Mullion Harbour was once a busy Pilchard port and is now owned and maintained by the National Trust in Cornwall.  A small fishing fleet still operates from the harbour mainly catching lobsters and crabs which are sold locally to restaurants and hotels.
