Padstow Museum

Padstow Museum was Founded in 1971 by an enthusiastic group of local residents headed by retired boat builder Bill Lindsey and is maintained and staffed by volunteers.

A unique collection of artefacts presents an insight into the history of the Port of Padstow over the past two centuries. This small but interesting museum is situated just 20 metres from the harbourside in the port of Padstow on the North Cornish Coast.

It was from Padstow that many miners left Cornwall for a new life in North America after the collapse of the Tin mining industry in Cornwall. You will find Cornish Names like Laity all through the Pacific Northwest of the United States.
