Porthgwidden Beach

Porthgwidden Beach

The smallest beach in St Ives, near to the Island, is popular with families as it is very sheltered and a bit of a sun trap. East facing, with soft golden sand.

Surf rescue equipment located on the beach, no professional lifeguard cover.

  • Refreshments
  • Toilets
  • Seasonal dog ban, Easter to October
  • Disabled access
  • Shop/cafe nearby

Car parks are located in town – but the large car park at the top of the town is a hard climb back up. Why not park at Lelant Saltings and enjoy the scenic branch line right to the heart of the town.
