Tintagel Castle Cornwall
Tintagel Castle has been a popular tourist attraction in Cornwall since the mid-19th century and is now managed by English Heritage.
The ruins of the castle are situated on a rocky peninsula of 18 acres that overlooks a part of the Atlantic Ocean.Despite excavation in the 1930s and the discovery of more structures in the 1980s no absolute find has proved the connection to King Arthur. However that location is atmospheric and inspiring and for most visitors it is entirely the right setting for the Arthur legend.
This requires a steep walk to access but the views are excellent.
