The Smoking Chimneys of Cornish Engine Houses

This video records the day on the 30 th of June 2008 when volunteers lit fires at many of the old Cornish Engine houses and once again smoke poured from the stacks.

There is a section of this video ( The Smoking Chimneys of Cornish Engine Houses ) that shows a landscape of smoking chimneys which illustrates very well the heritage and brings home to the viewer the historical importance of the mining industry to Cornwall.

We also have a video on Levant Mine and its famous beam engine. We have another video of a Cycle trip around theGreat Flat Lode Mineral Tramway that passes many of the engine houses you can see in this video.
