This video records the day on the 30 th of June 2008 when volunteers lit fires at many of the old Cornish Engine houses and one again smoke poured from the stacks.
There is a section of this video which shows a landscape of smoking chimneys which illustrates very well the heritage and the brings home to the viewer the historical importance of the mining industry to Cornwall. We also have a video on Levant Mine and its famous beam engine. We have another video of a Cycle trip around the Great Flat Lode Mineral Tramway that passes many of the engine houses you can see in this video.
