Cornwall Coast Path walk from Mullion to Poldhu Cove
Walking from Mullion Cove through Polurrian Cove to Poldu Cove, all documented with video and time lapse photography.
Poldhu Cove is the location from which the first Transatlantic message was sent using wireless telegraphy. The was sent as a single repeated letter ‘S’ using equipment set up on the cliff top at Poldhu Cove.
The signal was received by Marconi in St John’s Newfoundland in 1901.
A monument to this event exists on the cliff top which relates the story of this transmission.
